Balaenoptera bertae is an extinct species of baleen whale that lived from 3.35–2.5 Mya during the Pliocene. It lived in the San Francisco Bay Area's Purisima Formation, which, during the early to middle Neogene, held a diverse assembly of cetaceans. The species was discovered in 2013.
