Bastak County

Bastak County (Persian: شهرستان بستک‎) is a county in Hormozgan Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Bastak. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 65,716, in 13,563 families. The county is divided into three districts: the Central District, Jenah District, and Kukherd District. The county has three cities: Bastak, Janah, and Kukherd. Bastak was traditionally part of the region of Irahistan. Bastak's inhabitants are mainly from Muslim-sunni faith and speak Larestani language.The Bastaki accent of Larestani language is very similar to the Khonji, Gerashi and Fedaghi accents.
