Bert Fragner
Bert G. Fragner (born 27 November 1941) is an Austrian Iranologist. He is director of the Institute of Iranian Studies of the Austrian Academy of Sciences since 2003. Fragner also teaches Iranology at the University of Bamberg. He has made several research trips to Central Asia. On July 16, 2010, Fragner was awarded the Dr. Prize at the Academy of Sciences in Vienna, for helping to promote Persian and Iranian culture and history.
