Bill Atkinson (footballer, born 1944)

William Atkinson (21 December 1944 – 24 June 2013) was an English professional footballer who played on the Right winger. He played in the Football League for Torquay United, was on the books of Birmingham City without appearing for their first team, and played non-league football for Nuneaton Borough. Atkinson began his professional football career as an apprentice at Birmingham City, turning professional in March 1962. He remained at St Andrew's for a further two years, but failed to make a single first team appearance.
