Birsel Vardarlı
Birsel Vardarlı Demirmen (born Birsel Vardarlı on July 12, 1984) is a Turkish former basketball player. She played for Fenerbahçe İstanbul between 2007–19 and was the captain of the team between 2012–17. She also played for Migrosspor between 2005–07. Known for her sportsmanship and her rivalry with Işıl Alben, she won many titles with her club, making her one of the most successful Turkish female basketball players. She participated at the 2005 Mediterranean Games in Almería, Spain and won the gold medal with the national team. She was capped 105 times for the national team.
