Canberra A-League Bid
A list of all the Canberra bids to secure a franchise licence from Football Federation Australia (FFA) to enter a team into the top division of men's association football in Australia, the A-League. The A-League was established in 2005 and inaugural FFA Chairman, Frank Lowy, identified Canberra as a future expansion destination for the league. As of 2020, Canberra has had three bids to obtain a franchise licence to join the A-League, two unsuccessful and one ongoing.
