Capocannoniere (Italian: [ˌkapokanːoˈnjɛːre]; literally "head gunner") is the title awarded to the highest goalscorer of each season in Italy's Serie A. The title is currently held by Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 29 goals for Juventus in the 2020–21 season. Gunnar Nordahl of Milan has won the title of capocannoniere five times: 1949–50, 1950–51, 1952–53, 1953–54 and 1954–55, more than any other player in the history of Italian championship.
