It is located four nautical miles (4.6 mi, 7.4 km) northwest of the central business district of Huntingdon, Tennessee. Although many U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this facility is assigned HZD by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.
