Cooperation Manufacturing Plant Aguascalientes

Cooperation Manufacturing Plant Aguascalientes (COMPAS) is a joint venture manufacturing plant between Daimler AG and Nissan Motor Corporation located in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The factory was announced in July 2015 as a strategic alliance between the two companies. Both companies invested a total of $1 billion for construction and operation of the manufacturing plant. The production site is located near the Nissan Aguascalientes A2 plant. The A-Class production at the plant ceased in 2020 to focus to the GLB-Class, caused by the market demand shifting from sedans towards SUVs.
