Cutinase

A cutinase (EC 3.1.1.74) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction cutin + H2O cutin monomers Thus, the two substrates of this enzyme are cutin and H2O, whereas its product is cutin monomer. This enzyme belongs to the family of hydrolases, specifically those acting on carboxylic ester bonds. The systematic name of this enzyme class is cutin hydrolase.
