Czarnowice

Czarnowice [t͡ʂarnɔˈvit͡sɛ] (German: Tzschernowitz, 1937-1945: Schernewitz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gubin, within Krosno Odrzańskie County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, close to the German border. It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) south-east of Gubin, 24 km (15 mi) south-west of Krosno Odrzańskie, and 47 km (29 mi) west of Zielona Góra. Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
