Daniel Belizario Urresti Elera (born 25 August 1956) is a Peruvian retired army general and politician who served as Minister of the Interior in the administration of President Ollanta Humala from 2014 to 2015. He is currently serving as Congressman representing Lima since 16 March 2020. Urresti remains a controversial figure in contemporary Peruvian politics. He is currently running for President of Peru at the 2021 general election with Podemos Perú. Though momentarily disqualified on 4 February 2021, he was reinstated in the race by the National Jury of Elections on 18 February.
