Desmond Tan (politician)
Desmond Tan Kok Ming (born 1970) is a Singaporean politician. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he is appointed as the Minister of State in the Ministry for Home Affairs and the Ministry for Sustainability and the Environment. He is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Pasir Ris–Punggol GRC for Pasir Ris Central since 10 July 2020. Prior to entering politics, he was Chief Executive Director of the People's Association (PA) from 2017 to 2020, and had served as a Brigadier-General with the Singapore Armed Forces from 1988 to 2016.
