Divan-begi

The Divan-begi (Persian: دیوان‌بیگی‎, romanized: Dīvān-beīgī) was the Persian form of Turkic office, which known as Imperial Chief Justice and translated as Lord High Justice was a high-rank official in of Safavid Iran (1501–1736), who acted as chief justice of Safavid capital and all over the kingdom's courts. Aftermore, Divan-begi had controlled an appeal court for whole of the kingdom, However, he did not deal with cases involving military officers or religious officials. Divan-begi had had a deputy to assist him in his tasks.
