Donna Shalala

Donna Edna Shalala (/ʃəˈleɪlə/ shə-LAY-lə; born February 14, 1941) is an American politician and academic who served as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 27th congressional district from January 3, 2019, to January 3, 2021. She previously served as the 18th United States Secretary of Health and Human Services under President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 2001. She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush in 2008.
