José Luis Melchor Ortiz (born July 23, 1947 in Mexico City, Mexico) is a Mexican retired Luchador (Professional Wrestler) best known by his ring name El Halcón. During his career, which spanned over five decades, he competed throughout the United States and Mexico. In America, he is perhaps best known for his tenure with Fritz Von Erich's Big Time Wrestling (World Class Championship Wrestling), where he is a former four time NWA Americas Tag Team Champion and two time NWA American Heavyweight Champion.
