Electoral district of Gibson
Gibson is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. It was created by the redistribution conducted in 2016, and was contested for the first time at the 2018 state election. Corey Wingard, the member for Mitchell before the 2018 election, successfully contested Gibson; while David Speirs, the member for Bright, successfully contested Black; both were members of the Liberal Party. Gibson is named after CBE (1901–1972), who was a teacher and women's activist in the middle of the twentieth century.
