Ernest Rowlinson
Ernest George Rowlinson (15 March 1882 – 4 January 1941) was a British Labour Party politician. Born in Great Shelford in Cambridgeshire, Rowlinson moved to Chesterfield around 1895 to work on the railways. He joined the Independent Labour Party (ILP) and the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants (ASRS); he subsequently moved to Sheffield and led the ASRS branch at Sheffield railway station, where he was prominent in the railway strike of 1911.
