Export Development Bank of Egypt

The Export Development Bank of Egypt (Arabic: البنك المصري لتنمية الصادرات‎, EDBE for short) is an Egyptian bank established as a joint-stock company under Law No. 95 of 1983 to develop exports and support the development of the agricultural, industrial, commercial, and service export sectors. The bank began lending and accepting deposits in February 1985. Authorized capital was increased upon approval by the Cabinet of Egypt to 5 billion Egyptian pounds in 2018, with ownership divided into 23.13% by Banque Misr, 11.43% by the National Bank of Egypt, 40.75% by the , and 24.96% publicly traded on the Egyptian Exchange.
