G.A.K. Lohani

Ghulam Ambia Khan Lohani (Bengali: গোলাম আম্বিয়া খান লোহানী, Russian: Голам Аббия Хан Лохани), (2 December 1892 – 17 September 1938), stylized as G.A.K. Lohani, or Luhani, was a revolutionary, journalist, professor, and communist of Bengali descent, who struggled against British rule over South Asia. In 1938 during the Great Purge, Lohani was arrested and executed by the NKVD on charges of espionage. He was posthumously rehabilitated in 1957.
