George Brager

George A. Brager (1923 – 2003) was Professor of Social Work and Dean of the School of Social Work at Columbia University. He has been a chief program planner of delinquency prevention and anti-poverty programs. Brager earned his bachelor's degree in social work from the College of the City of New York in 1941 and a master's from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work in 1948. He was awarded a Ph.D in 1968 from New York University, where he studied at the center for Human Relations and Community Studies.
