Hitachi Kokufu
The Hitachi Kokufu (常陸国府) was the provincial capital of Hitachi Province in the late Nara period though Heian period. It was located in the Soja neighborhood of the city of Ishioka, Ibaraki Prefecture in the northern Kantō region of Japan. The ruins have been protected as a National Historic Site since 2010.
