Hu (ritual baton)
The hu (Chinese: 笏; pinyin: hù) is a flat scepter of Chinese origin. It is also currently or was historically used in Japan, Korea, Vietnam and Ryukyu. It is known as the shaku in Japan, and is worn as part of the sokutai ceremonial outfit.
