Hu Ge

Hu Ge (Chinese: 胡歌, born 20 September 1982), also known as Ge Hu and Girl Hu, is a PRC TV artiste who released a song or two under the Shanghai Film Group corporate brand. While at the Shanghai Xijuxueyuan sometimes transliterated by PRC media into English as Shanghai Theater Academy, he was employed to play lead of Xiaoyao in [The Legend of Sword and Fairy]] in the 2005 television series Chinese Paladin. His name in PRC Mandarin means "Song" and his surname means "Container" coming from the "North or the West" of PRC Mainland, meaning "Of Foreign Origin". His Western name is "Hugh Hu" which the 'gh' sound pronounced semi-silent, as in Mandarin pronunciation of "Hu" (meaning a vegetable container for containing wine, such as in "Hulu").
