Jaʿafar Al-Naqdi
Jaʿafar Bin Muḥammad Bin ʿAbdullah Al-Rubʿi Al-Naqdi (17 April 1886 – 20 October 1950) was a Shi'ite religious scholar, poet, judge, and author. He was from the governorate of Maysan, Iraq. His full name is: Jaʿafar Bin Muḥammad Bin ʿAbdullah Bin Muḥammad Taqi Bin Ḥassan Bin Al- Ḥussein Bin ʿAli Al-Taqi Al-Rubʿi.He was born and raised in the city of Amarah – the administrative capital of the Maysan province – before his father sent him to The Najaf Seminary or Hawza Najaf to study for several years. He studied the Fundamentals of Fiqh or Fundamentals of Jurisprudence under the supervision of Muhammad Kadhim Khorasani, and he studied Jurisprudence under the supervision of Muḥammad Kathim Al-Tabatabaʾi Al-Yazdi.
