James Crawford (trade unionist)
James Crawford (1 August 1896 – 15 July 1982) was a Scottish trade unionist. Crawford attended Carrick Academy in Maybole before serving in World War I, with both the Highland Light Infantry, and the Cameronians. He joined the Labour Party, serving on Glasgow City Council from 1930 until 1938. At the 1935 United Kingdom general election, he stood unsuccessfully in Kilmarnock. Crawford retired in 1962, and was succeeded on the National Coal Board by Bill Webber.
