John H. Foster

John Hopkins Foster (January 31, 1862 – September 5, 1917) was a U.S. Representative from Indiana. Born in Evansville, Indiana, Foster attended the common schools of his native city and was graduated from Indiana University at Bloomington in 1882 and from the law department of Columbian University (now George Washington University), Washington, D.C., in 1884.He was admitted to the bar in 1885 and commenced the practice of his profession in Evansville, Indiana.He served as member of the State house of representatives in 1893.He served as judge of the superior court of Vanderburg County 1896–1905.
