John Strohmayer

John Emery Strohmayer (October 13, 1946 – November 28, 2019) was an American professional pitcher in Major League Baseball. He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in 1968, and made his Major League debut in 1970 for the Montreal Expos. He played with them until the July 1973, when he was claimed by the New York Mets off waivers. He played with them through 1974. Strohmayer had a career 11–9 win–loss record with a 4.47 earned run average and 200 strikeouts. In 1989 Strohmayer was inducted to the Pacific Athletics Hall of Fame for his outstanding performance with the Pacific Tigers.
