Jornal Nacional (Brazilian Portuguese: [ʒoʁˈnaw nɐsjoˈnaw]; Portuguese for '"National Newscast"') is a Brazilian Emmy-winning primetime news program aired by Rede Globo since September 1, 1969. It was the first news program broadcast live by a television network throughout Brazil. According to Ibope (Brazilian Institute of Public Opinion and Statistics), in the week of September 28—October 4, 2015, it was the second most watched program in Brazilian television, with an average of 26,007,251 viewers per minute and for 5,5 million people worldwide via Globo International.
