Korea Communications Commission

Korea Communications Commission (Korean: 대한민국 방송통신위원회; Hanja: 大韓民國 放送通信委員會; RR: Daehanminguk Bangsongtongsin Wiwonhoe) is a South Korean media regulation agency modeled after the Federal Communications Commission of the United States of America. It was established on February 29, 2008, combining the former Korean Broadcasting Commission and the Ministry of Information and Communication. The five members of the Commissioners make a decision. The current Chairman, among the five Commissioners, is Han Sang-hyuk.
