The Lake Tahoe Railway and Transportation Company was a 16-mile (26 km), 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge railroad that ran from a connection with the Central Pacific Railway at Truckee, California to the waterfront at Lake Tahoe. The railroad was converted to 4 ft 8+1⁄2 in (1,435 mm) standard gauge in 1926.
