Lewis Wetzel
Lewis Wetzel (February 24, 1752 – 1808) was a scout, frontiersman and Indian peace negotiator. Raised in what is now the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia, his exploits once hailed as similar to those of Daniel Boone.
