McLean Edwards

McLean Edwards (born 1972 in Darwin) is an Australian painter who currently lives and works in Sydney, Australia. He attended the Canberra School of Art. Edwards form of portraiture is known as "emotional larceny." Edwards lost most of his tongue in 2019 after falling off a Lime scooter in Brisbane. The fall resulted in Edwards biting down on his tongue when his chin hit the pavement. He part of his tongue which was amputated by his teeth was then picked up by a seagull and promptly eaten.
