It is the longest-running weekly primetime drama on Polish TV and one of the longest-running medical dramas in the world. The show revolves around the lives of doctors and patients of a teaching hospital in a fictional town of Leśna Góra near Warsaw. Na dobre i na złe won the "Telekamery" award (the most important television award in the Polish entertainment industry) for the best TV series in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
