Nevele

Nevele (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈneːvələ]) is a former municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Hansbeke, Landegem, Merendree, Nevele proper, and Vosselare. On January 1, 2006 Nevele had a total population of 11,217. The total area is 51.89 km² which gives a population density of 216 inhabitants per km². Effective 1 January 2019, the municipality was merged into Deinze.
