Olivia Knight
Olivia Knight (1830–1908) was an Irish-Australian poet and essayist. Knight was a native of Castlebar, living on Rathbawn Road. She was a teacher and a regular contributor to The Nation under the name Thomasine. Her work had strong Irish nationalist themes. After the death of her mother in 1860, she emigrated to Australia and married a journalist, Hope Connolly. She died in Queensland in 1908.
