Peter Winkels (24 October 1954 – 7 April 2021) was a Dutch writer, teacher and television presenter. Winkels studied literature. He worked as a Dutch language teacher at the Bernardinuscollege in Heerlen. He has worked at , including for and , as book reviewer and television presenter. He had his own book section and worked for several other programs. He published poetry collections and wrote several books. Winkels was the co-author of the book De Geschiedenis van de Literatuur in Limburg (The literature history of Limburg) and wrote a lexicon of the Limburg crime literature. For a short time he was a speechwriter for mayor of Maastricht: but he was not successful, according to himself. He published his autobiography titled Leven, Stukje bij Beetje.
