Ryusuke Numajiri
Ryusuke Numajiri (沼尻 竜典, Numajiri Ryūsuke) is one of Japan's most sought-out music conductors. In 1990 he won the Besancon International Competition, which catalyzed his career. He was invited to conduct operas at: the London Symphony Orchestra, Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, DSO Berlin, Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, Staatskapelle Weimar, Darmstadt, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and the China Philharmonic Orchestra. Other positions Numajiri has held include: artistic director of Biwako Hall, music director of Tokyo Mitaka Philharmonia, Principal Guest Conductor and General Music Director at Theater Lübeck.
