Shirish Panchal
Shirish Jagjivandas Panchal, (Hindi: शिरीष पंचाल; Gujarati: શિરિષ પંચાલ born 7 March 1943 in Vadodara), is a Gujarati critic, fiction writer, translator and editor who won the 2009 Sahitya Akademi Award for Gujarati language for his criticism Vaat Aapanaa Vivechan-ni; he refused the award. He done his Ph.D under Gujarati writer Suresh Joshi. He taught Gujarati language and literature at M. S. University, Baroda. He edited Etad, a Gujarati quarterly.
