Simele massacre

The Simele massacre (Arabic: مذبحة سميل‎, Syriac: ܦܪܲܡܬܵܐ ܕܣܸܡܹܠܹܐ‎) was a massacre committed by the Kingdom of Iraq led by Bakr Sidqi during a campaign systematically targeting the Assyrians around Simele in August 1933. From 3,000 to 6,000 Assyrians were killed in the massacre.
