Sonoma County, California formally establishes landmarks through its Landmarks Commission. These landmarks are designations independent of those established on a national level including National Historic Landmarks and sites on the National Register of Historic Places. These landmarks are also independent of California Historical Landmarks and those established by the cities within the county.
