Stéphane Mangin is a physicist, professor at University of Lorraine, Nancy, France. He is head of the Nanomagnetism and Spintronics team at Institut Jean Lamour, a joint laboratory between French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and University of Lorraine. His research concern the study of nanomagnets and their magnetization dynamic under the influence of different stimulus such as a magnetic field, a current pulse which can generate a spin-transfer torque, or a spin-orbit torque (see spin-orbit interaction), or by ultrashort pulse laser.
