Reemer had previously represented the Netherlands at the 1972 Contest as one half of the duo Sandra & Andres with "Als het om de liefde gaat", finishing in 4th place. The song was performed eighth on the night (following Ireland's Red Hurley with "When" and preceding Norway's Anne-Karine Strøm with "Mata Hari"). At the close of voting, it had received 56 points, placing 9th in a field of 18.
