The Togliattiazot Affair is a series of events connected to criminal proceedings against the owners and executives of Togliattiazot (Toaz) and their foreign partners. The case spanned 14 years, from 2005 to 2019, and resulted in the owners and executives receiving prison sentences of between to 8.5 and 9 years. The activity of the involved parties was described as "a threat to [Russia’s] economic activity" by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin.
