USS Canberra (LCS-30)
USS Canberra (LCS-30) will be an Independence-class littoral combat ship of the United States Navy. She will be the second US ship to be named Canberra, after the ship HMAS Canberra which in turn was named after the Australian capital city. Canberra will be built in Mobile, Alabama by Austal USA. She was christened on 5 June 2021, with Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator the Honourable Marise Payne, serving as the ship's sponsor. His Excellency the Honourable Arthur Sinodinos, Australian Ambassador to the United States was in attendance at the ceremony on behalf of Australia.
