White Bahamian

White Bahamians are Bahamian citizens of European ancestry, most of whom trace their ancestry back to England and Scotland and Ireland. During and after the American Revolutionary War, approximately 1,600 white Loyalist refugees, many with slaves of African descent, settled in the Bahamas. Bahamians of European descent are sometimes called "Conchs", a term that is also applied to people of White Bahamian descent in Florida.
