Yashwantrao Thorat

Yashwantrao Thorat (Marathi : यशवंतराव थोरात) also known as 'Thorle Yashwantrao' was a military commander and the main supporter of Sambhaji II of Kolhapur from 1717 to 1719. He had the title of 'Senakhaskhel'. He was 'Jahagirdar' (Baron) in the territory of Warana. Ashta was his chief headquarter on the bank of Krishna river. He brought the territory of Vijapur under his control and expand the province of Sambhaji II of Kolhapur until 1719.For his achievement Sambhaji II gave him Saranjam of Rs.9 lakh in Vijapur territory.
