Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's (遊☆戯☆王5D's, Yūgiō Faibu Dīzu) is the second main spin-off of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, succeeding Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. The series aired in Japan from April 2, 2008 to March 30, 2011. The story focuses around characters playing a card game called Duel Monsters. This series introduces Synchro Monsters to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game.
