1992 Holiday Bowl

The 1992 Holiday Bowl was a college football bowl game played December 30, 1992, in San Diego, California. It was part of the 1992 NCAA Division I-A football season. It featured the 25th ranked Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, and the unranked Illinois Fighting Illini. Illinois took an early 7–0 lead on a 14-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jason Verduzco to John Wright. Hawaii responded with a 6-yard touchdown run from running back Travis Sims, tying the game at 7. At the end of the quarter, Illinois' Chris Richardson kicked a 19-yard field goal giving the Illini a 10–7 halftime lead.
