The 2000-01 Los Angeles Clippers season was their 31st season in the NBA, their 17th in Los Angeles. With rookies Darius Miles, Quentin Richardson and Keyon Dooling along with the addition of Corey Maggette from the Orlando Magic, the Clippers were a young team. However, center Keith Closs was suspended for the entire season due to lack of physical conditioning. Under new head coach Alvin Gentry, the Clippers would struggle losing 7 of their first eleven games as they traded Tyrone Nesby to the Washington Wizards for Cherokee Parks, but would play .500 basketball in the final three months of the season.
